F.H. BUCHANAN DIES WEDNESDAY
Funeral services for Fred Hartman Buchanan, who died December 10 at the Veterans' hospital in Portland, will be held tomorrow (Friday) at 10:30 o'clock, in Macy chapel. Interment will be in the Evergreen Memorial park, the Rev. S.J. Osborne will officiate at the services.
Mr. Buchanan was instructor of manuel training in McMinnville high school for 29 years, and for six years before that he had taught in the Newberg high school. He was secretary of the local school board, and was a graduate of Oregon State college.
He had been a member of the Elks and of the Spanish American war veterans. The veterans conducted graveside services.
Surviving are his widow, Ona Porter Buchanan, a son, W.P. Buchanan, Portland, and a sister, Leora Custer of California.
