WILLAMINA MAN SUCCUMBS AT 60
Leo Lawrence Mitchell, Sr., late of Willamina, passed away there Friday, October 13, at the age of 60 years, 9 months and 14 days. A retired sawmill worker, Mr. Mitchell was born in Burr Oak, Kans., December 29, 1889, and was married to Lela Donnell Mitchell, surviving.
Mr. Mitchell was an elder in the First Christian church of Willamina.
Other survivors are three sons, Leo L., Donnell and Smith Austin, all of Willamina; two brothers, Alfred, Costa Mista, Calif., and Homer Mitchell, Oklahoma City, Okla.; and sisters, Mrs. Maggie Smith and Mrs. Sina Bortles, both of Leedey, Okla., and Mrs. Ann Mathews, Crewes, Calif.
Services were held at the First Christian church in Willamina Monday afternoon with the Rev. Leo Woodruff officiating.
