SLIPPERY ROCK - Miss Edna M. Eppinger, 69, of Hillview Manor Nursing Home, Ellwood Road, New Castle, formerly of Volant RD 2, died at 1:45 a.m. May 9, 1979 at Hillview Manor after a four-month illness. She was born in Plain Grove Township, Lawrence County on Oct. 21, 1909 to the late Melvin and Adda L. Magee Eppinger. Miss Eppinger was a member of the South Plain Grove United Presbyterian Church. She is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Evelyn) Hunt of New Castle RD 4, Mrs. Harold (Lucille) Hunt of Portersville RD 2, Mrs. George (Bertha) Walters of Slippery Rock RD 3, and Mrs. Edwin (Hazel) Fitzgerald of Volant RD 2; two brothers, Charles M. Eppinger of Volant RD 2 and H. Kenneth Eppinger of Slippery Rock RD 3, and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Grace Cunningham Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St. from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. The service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home conducted by the Rev. Robert Dayton of the church. Burial will be in South Plain Grove Cemetery.
