Crecencia L. "La Madrina" Ramirez, 100, passed away on March 20, 2011. She was born on December 28, 1910 in Kenedy, Texas and moved to Corpus Christi, Texas in 1946 where she resided in the Molina neighborhood.

She is survived by her son, Juan M. (Odilia) Hinojosa, four grandchildren, Juan A. Hinojosa from Corpus Christi, Texas, Rosendo Hinojosa from Colorado Springs, Colorado, Cynthia Garcia and Lisa Michelle Hinojosa all from Corpus Christi, Texas, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter, sisters, Luciana L. Lopez and family from Woodsboro, Texas, Pomposa L. Longoria and family from Victoria, Texas and Frances L. Skotzko and family from Chicago, Illinois. Survivors also include numerous family and friends in Kenedy and Corpus Christi, Texas.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 from 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to be held at 7:00 P.M. that same evening.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 11:30 A.M. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Kenedy, Texas with interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
