F. M. Gleason was born in Ohio in 1833. He came to Kansas in 1868 and settled near Toronto. He was married to Miss Bettegrue in 1853. To them were born 13 children 5 of them having died early in life, 7 girls and 1 boy have grown out for themselves. Same living in and near Toronto. Mrs. Gleason having died 2 years ago last March. Since her death, deceased has made his home with his son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. C. Williams of Toronto. For some time he had been afflicted and had had to sit in his chair the last six months. His death came very suddenly and without a struggle. He will be missed by his children and many warm friends. Funeral services were held at the home of C. Williams conducted by Rev. Ella Tharp of Humboldt, Conference Evangelist of the United Brethren Church, who was here attending conference. Interment was in east cemetery.
