Jennie's obituary appears in the Saint Louis Post-Dispatch, 26 Jan 1942 on page 5C under the title KNIERIM, JENNIE ELIZABETH (nee McKee).

Jennie grew up on a farm in Illinois. When she was a young woman, the following article appeared in The Plaindealer, Sparta, IL, 25 Nov 1887:

Miss Lizzie McKee, of Six Mile, should be voted the blue ribbon by the sportsmen of this section. One day last week a drove of wild turkeys made their appearance on the McKee farm and there being no men folks about the premises, she took down the old shotgun and went forth to do battle with the invaders. She fired one barrel and killed two, then the other barrel and killed one. Is there a better record in the Sparta Gun Club this season?

At the time of her death, Jennie was living at 426 N. Kirkwood Road, Kirkwood, Missouri. Jennie died suddenly.

Jennie was survived by nieces and nephews. She had no children of her own.

Jennie's funeral was Tuesday, 2 p.m., from the Jay B. Smith Funeral Home, 7456 Manchester Avenue, Maplewood, with burial in Oakhill Cemetery.
