ROY - Claude Wright Bennett returned to our Heavenly Father on April 1, 2005 in his home in Roy, Utah. Claude was born January 1, 1928 in Grace, Idaho, the son of Harold W. and Millie Perry Bennett. He served with the U.S. Navy for three years during World War II as a fireman first class and received a Victory Medal, given for his bravery during the war. He served three more years on the U.S.S. Raymond. He was a mechanic and had worked for Crabtree Auto, Bodily Auto and Clearfield Tire and Auto. Claude retired in 1986 from Boeing. He is survived by daughter Kimberly Bennett, Ogden, stepsons Rodney Butler, Ogden, David Butler, Ogden, Bobby (Denice) Butler, Riverdale, daughters; Claudine Bennett, Ogden, Cindy Hoff, Avondale, AZ, and Kerry (David) Lopez, Peoria, AZ; son, Kevin (Linda) Bennett, Glendale, AZ; stepchildren Scott (Kris) Neville, Ogden, Rayanne Walker, Ogden, Carolyn Rickard, Dillon, MT, Mark (Teresa) Neville, Ogden, 32 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandch ildren. He was preceded in death by Sharon, his wife of 30 years, son Clifford, his parents, seven brother, Norman, Lynn, Glen, Boyd, Kay, Lewdean, his twin Clifford, three sisters, Myrel, Millie, and Lilly, and one granddaughter. His passions in life were auto mechanics, working in the yard and in his garden, playing cards with his wife Sharon and his family. We will love and miss you always. You will always be in our hearts and memories. Memorial services will be held Friday, April 8, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Leavitt's Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden.
