Elizabeth was the daughter of Peter and Anna Weiss Barger. She married John
Aeschliman in Bluffton, Indiana on August 19, 1877. Reported in the 1900 Census
and Elizabeth's obituary (published Evening News Banner, Thursday, October 3,
1935), they had 11 children and 9 survived. The 9 known children of John and
Elizabeth were: Mary, John W., Emma, John, Joel, Martha, Minnie, Samuel,
Salomi/Saloma (female), and Elizabeth.

Elizabeth is enumerated in the U.S. Census records from 1860 through 1930 in
Wells County, Indiana, both as a child and after her marriage to John
Aeschliman. She lived in Harrison township through the 1910 census and then in
Bluffton Ward 1 in the 1920 Census and Bluffton District 3 in the 1930 Census.
