Henry Daniel Barton, 73, of 1301 E Willard St died at 2:40am Thursday in St Mary’s Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 1pm Saturday in J.J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home, where friends may call after 4 pm Friday Burial will be in Mount Gilead Cemetery.
Mr. Barton was born in Delmar, Ala., a son of Willia A. and Texana Weaver Barton.
He was retired from the U.S. Army and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 99.
He married Geneva Kickle March 26, 1948.
Mr. Barton leaves his wife; four stepchildren, Hunter J. Kickle of Decatur; Mrs. Gene (Margarete) Picou of Decatur; Mrs. Ted (Blanche) O’Shea of St. Louis, Mo.; and Mrs. Hollis (Edith) Cox of El Monte, Calif.; two brothers, Aaron of St. Louis, Mo.; and Burdine of Haleyville, Ala.; a sister, Adar Cummings of Haleyville, Ala.; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A sister and a brother preceded him in death.
