Susanna Donaldson Lord's birth date was recorded in the St. James Episcopal church record (Baptisms - page 120 on September 11, 1879) when she was baptised with five sisters and one brother. She was the youngest at that time and almost 6 months old. There were four more children born after this baptism date. John, Caroline Virginia, baby Lord - a son who died after one day, and Simeon Lord.

Her death certificate says Susan Lord died of pneumonia November 22nd 1890 age 11 years old. Place of birth West Philadelphia. Father is W. R. B. Lord and mother is Elizabeth Lord living at 6008 Landsdown Avenue. Date of burial is November 25th 1890 at Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Undertaker S. P. Frankenfield with residence at 5300 Vine Street.

The Philadelphia Inquirer Mortuary Notice of November 25th 1890: "LORD --- On the 22nd instant, Susannah D., the youngest daughter of W. Rufus and Elizabeth Lord, in her 12th year. The relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral, from her parents' residence, 6008 Lansdowne avenue, on Tuesday, the 25th, at 2 o'clock. Interment private."
(Note by ck - death certificate says age 11 and mortuary notice says in her 12th year. Newspaper also added an "h" to Susanna.)

Susanna's four year old brother Simeon Lord died of accidental burns on July 27 the same year. Their deaths a tragedy for parents, sisters and brothers.
