Funeral services for Mrs. Harry Lockman were held at the Parker Funeral Home in Faribault on Monday afternoon,Dec.23, with the Very Rev.Ernest F. Campbell, Dean of the Cathedral of Our Merciful Saviour,officiating. Susan Parker sang "Abide With Me" accompanied by Mrs. Kenneth Monson, organist.
Pallbearers were Donald Purington,Herbert Remillard,Henry Krause,Frederick Miller William Thom, and Paul Hall, all of Faribault. Interment was made in the family lot in the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery in Faribault.
Relatives and friends attending the service from away were from:Albert Lee, Brainard, and Hastings.
Mary Vanger, the daughter of Joseph and Pauline(Kelly)Vanger was born in Russia near the city of Odessa on July 30,1904. She came to this country with her family in 1906,locating in Faribault. She attended the public schools in Faribault and grew to young womanhood there. For several years she was employed with the Shaft-Pierce Shoe Company in Faribault.
On July 5,1924 she was united in marriage to Harry H. Lockman. They made their home in Faribault and for a number of years, Mrs. Lockman was employed at Shattuck School, retiring from her work there in January of 1966.
Mrs. Lockman passed away at the Rice County District One Hospital in Faribault on Friday Dec. 20, following an extended illness.
She is survived by a son,Larry Lockman of Albert Lee,by four daughters, Mrs Clarence Berger(Margaret)of Shakopee, Mrs. Wayne Srock(Nancy)of Faribault, Mrs. George Adder(Kathleen) of Riverview, Michigan,and Mrs.John Maher(Lillian) of Brainard; by 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, by four sisters,Mrs.Olga Briggs,Julia Vanger,Mrs. Lena Austad and Mrs. Hannah Fairchild;by a brother Vasili Vanger and by other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband in December of 1964,and by her parents
