Alan Wayne Alderson, 46, of Decatur, died 9:25 p.m. Wednesday (Oct. 27, 1993) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Burial will be in Mount Gilead Cemetery.
Mr. Alderson was born Aug. 21, 1947, in Decatur, the son of Ivan C. and Annabelle Kelly Anderson. He was a member and elder of Northwest Christian Church. He was a retired clerk from Norfolk & Western Railroad. He married Lynda Hoots in 1966.
Surviving are his wife; daughter, Kelly of Arlington, Texas; sister, Barbara of San Diego, Calif.; brother, Richard "Rick" of Decatur.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
