Gwen was a wonderful, fun loving woman. All people she met admired and appreciated her character. I met Gwen at her flower shop "Gwen's Flower Shop", that she ran with her husband, Bob. Gwen was very involved with the community, Boys Club, Girls Clubs, and the Apple Blossom parade. Gwen ran for Sebastopol city Council. It was great to watch her campaigning in the middle of downtown Sebastopol. Gwen was elected into City Council and then became the first female mayor in Sebastopol in 1978, thus, making history. What an inspiration she was.
