Born in Beaufort County, she was a daughter of the late James Sumter and Florence Elliott Moore. She was employed for a number of years at the South Carolina Archives and was a member of St John's Episcopal Church. She graduated from Miss Annie Bonham's School, attended Coker College and was a 1928 graduate of the University of South Carolina.
Surviving are a son, John L Law Jr of Columbia; daughters, Mrs Sally H Lathan of Columbia and Mrs Florence L Attridge of Atlanta; grandchildren; and a great grandchild.
Services will be held at 4 pm Tuesday at St John's Episcopal Church, conducted by the Rev Alan Avery and the Rev John M Barr. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is in charge.
