SERVICES HELD TUESDAY FOR ARTHUR CANFIELD, PIONEER AREA RESIDENT

Arthur H. Canfield, 79, of Grand Junction passed away early Saturday morning, December 11, in Farmington, New Mexico, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. L.A. Garland, where he and Mrs. Canfield were spending the winter.
A resident of Grand Junction since his retirement about five years ago, Mr. Canfield had fond memories of the early days in Nucla, his father having been a carpenter on the Pinion Ditch. Funeral services were held at the Union Congregational Church in Nucla, on Tuesday, December 14 at 2:00 pm with the burial following in the Nucla Cemetery, the Basin Mortuary of Farmington, New Mexico, in charge of arrangements.
