MISS KATE SLADE
TENNILLE, Ga., March 29 - Funeral services for Miss Kate Slade, member of a well-known Washington county family who died Wednesday at Rawlings sanitarium in Sandersville after a two weeks illness of pneumonia, were held yesterday at the residence in the Warthen community, conducted my Rev. R.J. Mincey, pastor of Bethlehem Baptist church.
Miss Slade was the daughter of J.W. Slade, former commissioner of this county, and the late Mrs. Carron Lewis Slade. She was identified in the work of the Baptist church, of which she was a member, and also of the missionary society, having served for a number of years as district secretary of the Washington Association W.M.U.
Surviving are her father, one sister, Mrs. F.H. Boatright, Sandersville; two brothers, Lewis Slade, Midville, and Joe Slade, Atlanta. Interment was in Brownwood Cemetery, Sandersville.
