Agatha Wheeler, 83, of the Flora Brethren Home died at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14,1979, at the Home. Born April 17,1896, in Flora, she was the daughter of Monroe and Jennie Flora Landis. She was an executive’s housekeeper and had managed a hotel in the Dominican Republic. She was a charter member of the Flora First Brethren Church. Surviving are two sons, Don of Rockfield and Boyd of Ruskin, Fla; two brothers, Ralph and Homer, both of California, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Graveside services were Friday at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Flora with the Rev. Alvin Grumbling officiating. Arrangements were made by Reinke Funeral Home in Flora.
