Son of the late Robert James and Betty Ann (McColley) Monroe, Rex was born March 6, 1964 in Arizona. In his early teen years, Rex and his family moved to the Dixon area where he graduated from Dixon High School.
After graduating from high school, Rex began working as a heavy equipment operator. In his spare time, Rex was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Rex will be sadly missed by all those that knew and loved him. He is survived by four children...; six siblings...; two grandchildren--; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Rex was preceded in death by one daughter, Roxanne Monroe.
A memorial gathering was held from 5:00 -7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at the Amazing Grace Fellowship Church in Richland, Missouri. Burial was in the Pisgah Cemetery near Dixon, Missouri. Arrangements were under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert.
