Jewell M. Cannon, 68, Indianapolis, died Tuesday in St. Francis Hospital Center. A native of Morgantown, KY., he lived in Indianapolis 10 years. He worked at Moulder Food Machinery Corp. for 17 years, retiring in 1968. He was a member of Burge Terrace Baptist Church and an Army Veteran of World War II. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Wilson-St. Pierre Greenwood Chapel, where friends may call today from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Survivors include his wife, Effie Cannon; three sons, Robert W., J. Charles and David Cannon; two stepsons, Herbert and Kenneth Grider; four daughters, Ruth Followell, Elizabeth Ferguson, Teresa Rainwater and Anita Cannon, and two stepdaughters, Mary Crouch and Doris Robertson.
