SALEM - Ariel Jade Brooks, age 21 months, of 3168 McCracken Road, Salem, Ohio, died from a sudden respiratory infection at 8:20 p.m., Wednesday, March 16, 2011 in the Emergency Room of Akron Children's Hospital Beeghley Campus in Youngstown. She was born June 16, 2009 in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of Michael J. and Natalie T. (Joy) Brooks of Salem.
In addition to her parents, Ariel is survived by her sister, Leia, 4 weeks old; her paternal grandparents, Christopher Brooks of Annapolis, Maryland and Linda Brooks of Wichita, Kansas; maternal grandparents, Tim and Donna Joy of Salem; two aunts, Heather Joy and Rachel Brooks; an uncle, Shawn Joy; and many great aunts, great uncles and cousins.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2011 at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home with Rich Mikes officiating. Calling hours will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery.
