Grafton, W.Va., June 20,-Information has been received by friends here of the death in Parkersburg of Mrs. Elvira Beard Archer, wife of V.B. Archer, a prominent attorney. She was 58 years old and her father, William Beard, was one of the early settlers of Wood county, West Virginia. She was active in the First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. John T. Chesley, of Washington, a daughter, survives. Mrs. Archer was a direct descendant of the British Admiral Perry, having been a great-granddaughter of the English naval leader.

Mrs. Archer Dies At Parkersburg

Word has been received from Parkersburg, W.Va. that Mrs. Elvira Beard Archer, wife V.B. Archer of that city and mother of Mrs. John T. Chesley of Washington, died suddenly last Thursday of heart disease. Mrs. Chelsey was summoned to Parkersburg as soon as it was discovered that her mother was dangerously ill.
