Obituary

Jonathan Talbott died on December 31 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. C. Spaulding, of Adamstown, Md.
Mr. Talbott was 82 years, 11 months. For the past eight years he had suffered from from muscular rheumatism from which he died.

He was born at Poolesville, Montgomery county, Md. Jan 10, 1832 and for many years was a resident of that county.

At one time, he was a Justice of the peace.

He is survived by twelve children - five sons, and seven daughters: Edward L. Talbott, of Brunswick. Md.; Ernest L. Talbott, of Point of Rocks; Joseph U. Talbott, of Atlantic City, NJ; and John W. Talbott; Mrs. J. C. Spaulding and Miss Gertrude Talbott of Adamstown, Md., relatives in Baltimore; Mrs. E. A. Collins of Washington, DC; Mrs. Mollie E. Mobley of Baltimore, Md; Mrs Nora Blake Stephens of Olney, Md; Mrs E. Carrie Mossberg, Takoma Park, DC; Mrs. Lewis E Young, of Martinsburg. W. Va. Five grandsons and a great nephew of the deceased were pallbearers.

Interment was made in Monocacy Cemetery at Beallsville, Montgomery county, Md. Clayton Hilton was the funeral director.
