Janice Catherine Thoma, 73, a life resident of Wendel, died March 17, 2011 in Oakhill Nursing Center of Greensburg. Born June 3, 1937 in Canton, OH to Herbert E. & Viola (Breitenstein) Thoma. Prior to retirement, Janice began her career as one of the first R.N.'s at Jeannette District Memorial Hospital as a floor nurse, then in the Intensive Care Unit, and finished her career in the human resource dept. She was a member of the St. Edward Catholic Church of Herminie. Predeceased by brothers, Joseph F. and James Thoma. Survived by brother, Edgar Thoma, of West Newton; 6 nephews; 5 nieces; 14 great nephews & nieces and 1 gr. gr. niece. Ott Funeral Home, Irwin. Interment, Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg.
