STURGIS, Michigan- Cletis "Itchy" SEXTON, Jr., 36, of Sturgis, Mich., died Friday, Sept. 13, 2002, at his home.

He was born Feb. 6, 1966, in Detroit, a son of Cletis and Leona (PATRICK) SEXTON.

Cletis was a Sturgis resident for the past 10 years coming from Shelby, Ohio, where he was raised and spent is childhood. On May 21, 1993, he married Toni MEEK in Sturgis.

He enjoyed his work as a meat cutter at the Golden Corral Restaurant in Sturgis and had also been employed by Wal-Mart and the Admiral Gas Station. Cletis was a member of the First Church of Christ in Three Rivers, a past member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #574, and enjoyed deep sea fishing, going to motorcross races, traveling and joking and teasing with his friends and family.

Surviving are; his loving wife, Toni; one daughter, Emily at home; grandmother who raised him, Lela PATRICK of Shelby, Ohio; two sisters, Glenna WORKMAN of Shelby, Ohio, and Stephanie FINNEGAN, of Shiloh, Ohio; three brothers, Jimmy ALSEPT of Shelby, Ohio, Danny ALSEPT of Angola, Ind., and Timmy SEXTON of Mansfield, Ohio; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, including his uncle and aunt, Ernest and Wilma BRADLEY of Sturgis.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald SEXTON and Joseph SEXTON, and his grandparents.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at the Hackman-Foglesong Funeral Home of Sturgis. Funeral services celebrating the life of Cletis "Itchy" SEXTON Jr. will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Church of Christ in Three Rivers. The Revs. John T. McClimans, Virgil Taylor and Marian BAKER will officiate. Following the service his body will be taken to the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio, where the family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday and funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday. Burial will take place at the Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio.
