Surviors include his wife, Gladys Gill Simpson of Crossett; one son, Billy Hugh Simpson of Texarkana, Texas, two daughters, Mary Moehring of Starksville, Mississippi and Jean Simpson Tucker of Crossett; one brother, Carl Simpson of Monroe, Louisiana, four sisters, Mrs. Jane Scott of Indianapolis, Indiana, Mrs. Addie Frizell of Denver, Colorado, Mrs. Ruth VanMeter of Manern, and Mrs. Jimmie Harrelson of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; seven grandchildren and and two great grandchildren.
Servies where held at 10 A.M. Monday, December 20, 1982, in the Jones Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Al Sparkman in charge of services. Burial followed in the Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett
