William "Bill" Virgil Scott, 75, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at St. Mary's Medical Center.
Bill was born in Washington, Indiana, on April 8, 1935. He retired from Meisler Truck and Trailer Company. Bill enjoyed working on riding lawn mowers and he loved telling jokes and being around his dogs.
Bill is survived by his daughters, Roxanna Lowe, Melody Tabor, and Penny Walters; sons, William "Willie" Scott Jr., Gordon Scott, and Brock Scott; stepdaughters, Rhonda Malone, Carol Clayton, and Debra Hanes; stepson, Dennis Keith Robertson; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren; and 18 step-great grandchildren.
Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ellen Scott in 2010; a son, Terry Scott; his parents; four brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2011, at Browning Funeral Home 738 Diamond Ave., with Pastor Ron Kissell officiating. Burial will be held at Locust Hill Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 2 until 8 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2011, at Browning Funeral Home.
