Visitation is Wednesday until 8 p.m. at Frost & Son Funeral Home in Belle Fourche. Burial will be in Pine Slope Cemetery. A memorial has been established. Mrs. Vroman died Tuesday at her home.
She was born June 14, 1924, in Canistota to John and Dorothy Apland. As a child, she came with her parents to Belle Fourche, where she graduated from high school. She lived in California and Colorado and other places during World War II. She married C.J. Vroman Jr. Dec. 12, 1948, in Belle Fourche and they ranched near Buffalo. In 1970 she moved to Belle Fourche.
She was a member of the Moose Lodge, Congregational Church, a Bible study group and the CowBelles.
Survivors include her mother, of Belle Fourche; three daughters; four brothers, Larry Apland and Jack Apland, both of Belle Fourche, Ralph Apland of Tucson, Ariz.; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.
