Services for Verne D. Boutwell, 79, of 405 Paramore, who died Monday at a hospital here, will be at 10:00 am Thursday in Parker Mortuary with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
He was born July 28, 1882, in Topeka and lived here all his life. He was a retired Santa Fe Railway electrician and was a member of Orient Lodge No. 51, AF & AM, and the Scottish Rite of Topeka.
Survivors include his widow Lillian of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Sam Landis, and a son, Donald Boutwell, both of Route 6, Topeka; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Lorraine Schreffler of Alexandria, VA., Mrs Izetta Osborn of Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. Janice Jackson, 1933 Lower Silver Lake Road, and Mrs. Joyce Butterfield of North Platte, Neb.; a stepson, Fred Woeltje of Little Rock, Ark.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a brother, Dan Boutwell of Tecumseh; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Fletcher, 727 W 17th, and Mrs. Hazel Locke, 1634 W 22nd.
