VERA A. BROUGHMAN, age 99 of Otter Lake, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Brian's House in Davison.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 18, 2011 at Hudson Funeral Service with Elders Dale Day, Bob Ruch, and Leo Carroll officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8PM. Burial will follow at Flint Memorial Park.

Vera was born on February 27, 1912 to William and Ida May (Danks) Finkbeiner.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and was a Women's Leader in the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Flint District. Vera was a church historian and enjoyed writing short stories and poetry.

Surviving are her children: LaVane (Robert) Sutton and Jerry (Merrilyn) Broughman; Foster Daughter: Janet Pallmio; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Broughman; Son: Carl E. Broughman and his wife Irene; foster daughter Marion Crampton one grand child; one great-great grandchild; two brothers, and two sisters.
