Pauline Bailey Harris, 90, of Charlottesville, died on Thursday, January 5, 2012, at a health care facility.

She was born in Logan County, West Virginia, on July 13, 1921, the daughter of the late Kenos and Flossie Elkins Bailey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James C. Harris.

Mrs. Harris loved signing with her "family" at Mountain View Nursing Home and listening to her audio books. She loved all children.

She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Bailey and her husband, Rich, of Oregon; two sons, David Harris and his wife, Becky, of Florida, and Philip Harris and his wife, Helen, of Charlottesville; three grandchildren, Golda, Scott and Stacy; five great- grandchildren; one sister, Phyllis Lawrence of Palmyra; two brothers, Bill Bailey of Florida and Alvin Bailey of Arkansas; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday January 10, 2012, at the Teague Chapel with the staff of Mountain View Nursing Home officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2012, at the funeral home. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Mountain View Nursing Home for all their kindness and care and suggest that memorial contributions be made to them at 1776 Elly Road, Aroda, VA 22709.
