Jessie L. Stansberry passed away at his home here at 2 a.m. Monday.

Funeral services were held at the Missionary Baptist Church at 3 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. F.E. Weller officiating. Burial was at Whitney Cemetery.

Mr. Stansberry was born in Lovelace one February 20, 1900. He was united in marriage to Miss Lavada Shelley in Whitney September 9, 1918. He was a member of the missionary Baptist Church here.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, William, Odell and Gene of Whitney and Lawrence of Pecos; three brothers, Otis of Blum, Virgil of Cleburne, and Vernon of Baytown; five sisters, Mrs. Eva Williw, Santa Anna, Calif., Mrs. Lola Stanley of Covington, Mrs. Beula James of Lubbock, Mrs. Era Williams, of Baytown; and his parents Mr. and Mrs. William Stansberry of Cleburne; eight grandchildren.
