Charles Baxter Campbell, age 92, passed away on March 14, 2011 in St. George, Utah.

He was born September 2, 1918 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Charles Campbell and Arzella May Baxter. He attended Webster Elementary and West High School. He married Sarah Jane Clark on October 5, 1944 in the Salt Lake City Temple.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Charles was a decorated World War II Aviator. He flew over thirty missions in the European theatre.

He had a successful career as a Railroad Engineer with the D&RG Railroad. Served for several years in the bishopric of the Emigration LDS Ward, Park Stake. In retirement spent many years as a volunteer at Salt Lake Regional Hospital working particularly with heart patients.

He is survived by his children Kevin Campbell, Robert Campbell, and Rebecca Lance; twenty-one grandchildren; fifty-nine great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Sarah Jane Clark.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the South Cottonwood Acres Ward Chapel, 981 Revere Circle, Murray, Utah. The family will be receiving friends an hour prior.
Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive (1495 East), East Millcreek, Utah.
