Died 20 Dec. 1838, Mobile, Ala.

Reared on a plantation on Six and Twenty Mile Creek in old Ninety Six Dist., he migrated to Georgia and served as Capt. in Georgia Militia 1800. In 1805 he came to Mobile, Spanish Territory. A prominent early settler owning tracts of land in Mobile and Baldwin Cos., he wed 15 Dec. 1818.
