ALEX, Elfred, age 67 years, of Route No. 1, Everson, passed away at his home, Thursday, March 25, (1948) following a short illness. Mr. Alex had been a resident of this district for the past sixty-four years. Surviving relatives include his wife, Lula, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Edna Blow, of Lynden, and Mrs. Ardis Bishop, of Sumas; one son, John, of Glacier; two brothers, Frank, of Vancouver, B. C., and Charles, of Tacoma; one half-brother, Jim Pelham, Seattle; two step-children, Mrs. Dorothy Hofenscher and Raymond Herrick, both of Everson; also twelve grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 27, at 2 p.m. from the Gillies Funeral Home in Lynden, George Weston officiating. Interment in Lakeside Cemetery at Clearbrook.
