Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2002 at St. Mary's Cathedral, Upper Church in St. Cloud, for Rose Helen Pelle, 95, formerly of 812 12th Avenue South in St. Cloud who died Friday at Seton Medical Center, Daly City, CA. Reverend Steven Binsfeld will officiate. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud.
Friends may call from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. on Thursday at Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Parish Prayers will be at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Rose Helen Pelle was born August 16, 1906 in Mayhew Lake to the late Michael and Mary (Popp) Ihli. Rose was united in marriage to Thomas J. Pelle on June 22, 1935 at St. Mary's Cathedral in St. Cloud. The couple made their home in St. Cloud. Rose was a member of St. Mary's Parish, Daughters of Isabella, Christian Mothers and Crosier Apostolates. She participated in the RSVP Program in St. Cloud and was a member of the Fun Singers Choral Group for many years.
Surviving Rose are her children: David (Roberta) of Napa Valley CA, Sharon (Charles) Arnold of San Francisco, CA, grandchildren Susan Arnold of Aptos, CA, Karen Arnold and great grandson, Ian of San Francisco, CA, Thomas (Jennifer) Arnold of San Jose, CA, and Steven Arnold of Menlo Park, CA.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, husband; on March 5, 1970, an infant son in 1936 and 9 brothers and sisters.
Rose was a loving and gentle wife, mother and grandmother. Although she lived away from Minnesota for several years her heart was always there. She will be greatly missed.
