Mrs. Blanche Elizabeth Thorson, well known former resident of Big Timber, died of a cerebral hemorrhage at Compton, Calif., Monday.
Funeral services will be conducted in Big Timber Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Lowry Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mountain View.
Mrs. Thorson was born in Warren, Minn., on May 17, 1886. She was married to George Thorson of Hereher, Ill., and to them were born eight children.
The family came to Montana in 1917, locating in Big Timber for many years. For the past several years Mrs. Thorson had resided in California. Mrs. Thorson had visited relatives and friends here last February. Mr. Thorson died in 1936. Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Irma Stokke of White Sulphur Springs, Mrs. Georgia Desonia of Billings, Mrs. Nellie Fleming of Compton Calif., and Mrs. Blanche Horer of Amery, Wis.; two sons Almer Thorson of Livingston, Gordon Thorson of Compton, Calif., and 12 grandchildren.
