Agnes Meixner Rush, 92, of Westminster, died Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Brightview Westminster Ridge. Born August 12, 1930 in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Angeline Catherine (Lorenz) Meixner and Herman Charles Meixner. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward Bennett Rush.
She retired after working 23 years as a Keypunch Operator at Random House. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church where she was very devoted to her church family. Agnes was a woman of strength and faith, enjoyed her garden and plants and was a great homemaker and mother.
She is survived by children Denise Rush Keegan Goodman and husband Mark, Darlene Agnes Sadowski and husband Steven and Doug Rush and wife Lori, grandchildren Alan Sadowski, Stefanie Gray and husband Alex, Sean Sadowski, Brandon Sadowski, Staci Finney and husband Nate and Nicole Valkenet and husband Ian, great-grandchildren Bennett and Cora Gray, Sadie and Paislie Finney and Madeleine and Amelia Valkenet.
She was predeceased by sisters Marie Demek and husband John, Margaret Suit and husband George and Rita Wells.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 11 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster. Interment will follow in Meadow Branch Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. John Catholic Church.
