Marie Rose Anne Régina Cloutier, daughter of Ludger Cloutier and Odélie Vaillancourt, was a native of Saint Adrien de Ham, Wolfe, Québec, Canada. She was baptized there on 29 May 1908. Rose married Arthur Robert Ruel, son of Louis Ruel and Alvine Guertin, on 13 Jul 1927 at St Adrien de Ham. (Her signature on the marriage document was "Anna Rose Cloutier" although she went by Rose later.) The couple immigrated to the United States and settled in Sanford, York, Maine. Rose was naturalized in 1929. She was widowed in 1966. Rose remarried, to a Blouin, and was widowed for a second time.
