Annettie Ruth Miller was born, and spent her entire life, in Salina, Kansas. Her parents were married in Hayes, Kansas, then moved to Nebraska where Nettie's two oldest siblings Olive and Charles were born. They then moved to Salina where other family members had settled.

After her husband Lawrence passed, Nettie, as she liked to be called, married Walter Everett in 1963. Walter passed in 1977. Nettie then married her third husband, Manford Hamiton Bartley, in 1982.

Annettie R. Bartley, 84, 524 Fairview, died Monday at St. John's Hospital after a long illness.

She was born September 27, 1900, in Salina. She was a homemaker and a lifetime resident of Salina.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church of the Cross, where she taught Sunday School for many years and was a member of the Wide Awake class. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, American Association of Retired Persons, Navy Mothers and Native Daughters, and the Union Pacific Old Timers Auxiliary.

Her first husband, Lawrence Cash, died in 1961. Her second husband, Walter Everett, died in 1977.

She is survived by her husband, Manford Bartley, Windsor Estates Nursing Home; two daughters, Jean Robertson, 512 W. Wilson, and Marilyn Johnson, 1107 W. Cloud; two sons, Carol Cash, 920 Park; and William D. Cash, Tuston, California; three step-daughters, Shirley Smith, Colorado Springs, Colorado; Dixie Lanning, 2057 Raymond; and Mary Sue Harris, Rolla, Missouri; a brother, Andrew K. Miller, Solomon; a sister, Anna Morlock, 833 Custer; 24 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church of the Cross, the Rev. Bill Brazil officiating. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to the church. Friends may call until noon Thursday at the Geisendorf Rush Smith Funeral Home.
