Obituary - "Mrs. Lucinda Sydebotham, aged 81 years, passed away January 6, at the home of her son, Noah, at Bethune. Funeral services were held on Sunday, Jan. 10, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Penny Mortuary, conducted by Rev Alley. Interment was in Fairview cemetery."
Lucinda was born in Aug 1851 (the date on her headstone is incorrect), the oldest child of John J. McGinnis and Martha Jackson. She married John J. McGinnis, her second cousin, and they had three children; Martha b. 1870, Nancy Jane b. 1872, and Rev. Joseph Andrew b. 1874.
John died in 1875, and Lucinda married secondly Newton Jasper Sidebottom. They had four children; Flora Belle b. 1881, John Wesley b. 1883, Noah b. 1885, and Jennie Mildred b. 1888.
