Scott Neptune, 74, retired superintendent of Humboldt Brick and Tile Co., died this morning about 3 o'clock at his home in Humboldt, Kansas.
He moved from Chanute to Humboldt 12 years ago.
He was born Oct. 29, 1881, at Cloverdale, Kansas.
He married Turrah May Bower, May 21, 1904, and she died May 10, 1948.
On Sept 8, 1949, he married Mrs. Birdie Hasty, who survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Harold and Lloyd, of Chanute, KS, and Norman, of Humboldt, KS; two daughters, Mrs. Georgia Kinsey, of Waco, TX, and Mrs. Dorothy Brooks, of Topeka, KS; 20 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step-sons Kenneth and Dale Hasty, both of Chanute, KS; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Clorene Berry, of Great Bend, KS, Mrs. Alta Mae Boggs, of Chanute, KS; and Mrs. Ruth Edwards, of Mulvane, KS; and a brother, H.J. Neptune, of Chanute, KS.
He was member of Grant Avenue Baptist Church.
The pastor, the Rev E.M. Pearson will conduct the funeral service Monday in Wilson-Johnson Chapel. Interment, will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Chanute, KS.
