Elijah T. Branton, 51, farmer of Rt. 3 Loris, died September 17, 1962. Mr. Branton was born in Horry County and was the son of the late Thomas Branton and Ada Smith Branton of Horry County. He was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. Surviving are the widow the former Miss Mae Carter; two sons Bobby Branton and Johnnie Branton, both of Rt. 3 Loris; six daughters Mrs. Ruby Merritt of Rt. 3 Loris, Annie Lee Branton, Claudia Ann Branton, Diane Branton, Mary Alice Branton, and Gloria Jean Branton, all of Rt. 3 Loris; three brothers Henry Branton, Ben Branton, Wauchula FLA and Sam Branton Rt. 4 Loris; four sisters Mrs. Lizzie Moore of Bucksport, Mrs. Lillie Herring of Conway, Mrs. Bertha Mishoe and Mrs. Loula Blanton of Radford.
