Olive Mae Garber, 97, of Woodburn, died Wednesday, May 1, 1996, at a Silverton hospital. A memorial service was held Saturday, May 4, at Zion Mennonite Church near Hubbard with burial in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Garber was born April 29, 1899, at Kalona, Iowa. She
married Lewis J. Garber on April 15, 1918, at Wellman, Iowa
and they made their home in Minnesota and Idaho before moving to Molalla, Hubbard and Woodburn where she had lived the past 59 years.

She was a homemaker and had worked as a nurses aide.
She was a member of the Zion Mennonite Church and the
Women's Sewing Circle.

She is survived by her sons, Wayne, of Sweet Home, John of
Hubbard, and William of Woodburn; daugthers, Elsie
Mengershausen of Grants Pass, Alice Bender of Woodburn,
Goldie Heyerly of Hubbard and Jewell Kennel of Monmouth;
a brother, Harold Miller and sister, Mabel Berry in Iowa; 31 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren and two great-
great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Women's Missionary Service Commission in care of Zion Mennonite Church or the MCC Quilt Sales.
