Raymond Everett Bower, a resident of Chanute, Kansas his entire life, died Sunday morning at 11:35 following a 3-month illness.
Bower, 60 years old, was a carpenter.
He was born in Chanute, Kansas in December 1881, son of J.W. and Nancy E. (Allison) Bower.
Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Albert (Nina) Carwile, Chanute, KS, and two brothers, John A. Bower, Chanute, KS, and Ralph Bower of Colorado Springs, CO; Five nephews, Charles Carwile, George Bower, Billie Bower, Lance Bower, and Richard Bower; and two nieces, Alice Dean Koenig, of Oklahoma City, OK, and Mrs. Duane (Joan) Zieger, of Boise, ID, also survive.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Roy S. Gibson Funeral Home. Dr. Eugene N. Duty of the Christian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, east of Chanute, KS.
