He was born March 10, 1910, in Lewis County, W.Va., a son of the late George and the late Daisey Wellen Grove.
Vaden married Cora Lula Gay on Sept. 4, 1931.
Mr. Grove was employed at Schotz Metal Corp. in Akron as a trimmer, retiring in 1970. He also owned and operated Grove's Grocery in Lewis County W.Va.
Mr. Grove was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Warren and also a member of the Punta Gorda United Methodist Church in Florida.
He was a 64-year member of the Masonic Lodge No. 10 in Weston, W.Va., member of the Royal Arch Mason, Biblo No. 4, and member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 40 in Weston.
He was an avid gardener and reader and enjoyed bowling in his younger years.
Surviving are a daughter, June Hahn of Cortland; son, Marshall of North Port, Fla.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Hazel Nestler of Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cora Lula Gay Grove, on July 26, 2000; three brothers; three sisters; and one great-grandaughter.
Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Crown Hill Burial Park with the Rev. John Griffith officiating. No calling hours will be held.
Interment will be in Crown Hill Burial Park.
Arrangements are entrusted to Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, Warren.
