Jeff Everson, 90, of Greenbush, MN, died on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009 in Altru Hospital at Grand Forks, ND.

Jeffrey Owen Everson, the son of Herman and Clara (Wermager) Everson was born June 19, 1919 at Gary, MN. He farmed with his Dad and also worked with the Civilian Conservation Corps. In 1939, he moved to Grand Forks, ND where he drove truck as well as being a produce buyer.

He married Marian Aune on October 6, 1940 at Sundal Lutheran Church, rural Fertile, MN. They lived at Grand Forks until 1942 when Jeff entered the U.S. Army. He served in the Signal Corps in the China, Burma & India Theater. In 1946, they purchased a home in Grand Forks. In 1950, they traded their home for a business venture in Greenbush, a service station and garage they named Jeff's Super Service. In 1952, the Y-Drive-In was built next door to the station. The businesses were purchased in 1980 by their son Paul.

On October 6th Jeff & Marian would have celebrated 69 years of marriage. Jeff was a 60 year member of Bethel Lutheran Church. He was active in the Greenbush-Badger Lions Club and a member of the American Legion. He served on the Greenbush City Council for over 20 years and drove bus for the Greenbush School for 25 years. He also served on the Greenbush Hospital Board & Greenbush Fire Dept.

Jeff's humble manner, sense of humor & gentle spirit were present every day. His love for family & friends was evident in everything he did from traveling with Marian throughout the U.S. and abroad to visiting family & friends. He loved hunting, fishing & spending time at "the farm." We loved him very much. He left a part of himself with all of us.
