Mr. Goodson retired in 1983 from Ivy Tech College, where he was business manager for over 10 years. He was a 58-year member of First Baptist Church. Mr. Goodson was a member of the Agoga Bible Class and a volunteer for the Deaconess Auxiliary.
He was a United States Army Veteran, serving in WW II.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Connie V (Duffy) Goodson; 3 children, daughter and son-in-law, Cinda and Tom Turn¬er of Cadiz, Ky., and daughter and son-in-law, Gina and Rod Benge of Lavergne, Tenn., and son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Lee Ann Goodson of Kut tawa, Ky.; 3 sisters, Nova Clark of Mount Carmel, 111., Jean Riley of Cape Coral, Fla., and Martha Dollar of Leavenworth, IN; 6 grandchildren, Darcey and husband, John Deutsch, Jason Turner and wife, Morgan, David and Brian Goodson and Roderick and Joseph Benge; and several nieces and nephews, including Betty Weber of Evansville.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2004, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel-A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, with Reverend Leonard Harmon and Reverend Posey Gaines officiating. Burial will be in Barnett Chapel Cemetery in Elberfeld, IN.
