This man was one of a kind. He was a true friend and brother in law to me. He loved his family and was a hard working man, a policeman at one time, and then a truck driver.

Every summer he would load up the family and head to the Colorado River in Mills County, Texas and we would all camp out under the stars for 2 weeks or longer. His parents, all his brother, sisters, their children would have a big family reunion. We went fishing everyday and had a fish fry every night. Those were really good times!

He was married to Delia "Dee" Cagle and was the son of Jacob Pleasant and Edna Zora Cagle. They are buried in the Winchell, Texas cemetery.

He had four children, one son David Wayne, three daughters, Betty Sue, Linda K, and Jackie L.

He's in the photo with his all his brothers and sisters. This was taken at their father's funeral in 1963. Left to Right: Jane, Gene, Wayne, Sarah, Mary, Pauline, Willie, Raymond, and Edina.

As of June 2020 only Sarah Cagle Brooks and Mary Cagle Berry are still living. What a great family! I was proud and blessed to marry into this family.
