MR. BAXTER DEAD - Benjamin Baxter, Native of Decatur, Died at Fort Wayne Sunday. - Was Ill A Week - Death Due to Pneumonia - Father of Mrs. Lawrence Schlegel, This City.
Benjamin F. Baxter, aged 67 years, died yesterday afternoon at the residence, 1101 East Lewis street. Death was due to pneumonia and followed a week's illness. Surviving, besides the widow, are six children - Benjamin, Earl and Nellie, of Fort Wayne; Deber, of Canada, and Pearl and Opal of Decatur. A brother lives at Dubuque, Ia. The deceased was born at Decatur, and was employed at the Bass works. He came to Fort Wayne a month ago from Bluffton --- Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette.
The deceased is the father of Pearl, wife of Lawrence Schlessel (sic) of this city.
