Lycurgus B. Patterson, son of Levinus and Mary Emily Patterson was born near Plattsmouth, Neb., on April 22, 1872 and died in Belleville on June 18, 1949, at the age of 77 years, 1 month and 27 days.
He moved to Kansas with his parents in 1881 and lived here until his death. He had been ill all winter, but was feeling better at the time of his death.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother and two sisters.
Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Isabel Moore of Contact, Nev., Mrs. Lillie Joy of Alta Vista, Mrs. Rannie Black of Narka and Mrs. Lottie Virts of Los Angeles, Cal.; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held in Narka at the Presbyterian church on June 23 with the Rev. Mr. Sinclair officiating. Burial was at Maple Grove cemetery.
